Examination System

Shifting of Examination Branch: The examination system of this university was in a bad shape for the last 25 years. The Branch has been shifted from Allama Iqbal Campus to Quaid-i-Azam Campus. The Computer Cell has been placed under the Controller of Examinations for better control.

PU Examination Centre: The University has recently constructed an Examination Centre at Quaid-e-Azam Campus. It comprises 12 Halls for 6000 candidates at one time. It has internal communication system.

Outstanding Degrees: Over 600,000 degrees were outstanding since 1990. By the grace of ALLAH, we have succeeded in issuing all outstanding degrees. Recently a computerized degree has been designed and a new system using off-set machine is being used to produce 3000 degrees in one hour as against 20 for old system.

Improvements in Examination System

•  Examination system has been computerized.
•  Annual convocations are held regularly.
•  All results are available on-line.
•  Pass marks have been increased from 33 to 40% with an aggregate of 45% for both M.A./M.Sc. and B.A/B.Sc.
•  The thesis of Master of Surgery and Master of Dentistry will be sent to foreign experts for evaluation instead of local experts.
•  Central marking system has been introduced instead of external examiners to eliminate mal-practices/corruption and save time.
To control the menace of “Booti Mafia”, PU monitoring teams comprising senior University teachers carry-out surprise checks of examination centres.  As a result the no. of UMCs decreased to a great extent as given below:-
