Introduction:
Dr. Shagufta Begum completed her MA Philosophy in 1982 from the Department and joined her alma mater in 1995. She did her LLB in 1989 from the Baluchistan University Law College and PhD on the topic, “Iqbal and the Reconstruction of the Islamic Thought with Special Reference to Indo-Pak Subcontinent” in 2002 from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. Before joining the Department, she had taught at the Department of Philosophy, University of the Balochistan, Quetta, for 10 years. She is a Student Advisor at the Department. At present, she is also working as General Secretary of Pakistan Philosophical Congress, Pakistan. There are more than 17 research papers to her credit. Iqbal Studies, Political Philosophy, Muslim Philosophy, Philosophy of Social Sciences, and Philosophy of Law are her areas of interest.
