Dr. Qamar Bashir

Dr. Qamar Bashir received his PhD degree from Leiden University, the Netherlands. After completing his academic studies, he continued to do research work for a year as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same university from where he had received his doctorate degree. He has also worked as postdoctoral researcher at Oslo University Norway. During his PhD and post-PhD research, he has acquired expertise in protein chemistry, enzymology, structural biology, molecular biology and immunology. He holds experience in NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, circular dichroism spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, isothermal titration calorimetry and Monte Carlo simulation. His research has been well-productive resulting in more than 15 publications in high impact journals with a total impact factor of 68 and 313 citations.
His research is focused on broader areas of protein chemistry, enzymology, microbiology and immunology. He is a dedicated teacher who has been teaching biochemistry, enzymology and immunology courses to MS/MPhil and PhD students. In addition to scholarly work, he is also active in community service. He has presented his research work in international scientific conferences in France, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Spain and USA.
