Mr. Muhammad Adnan Shan

Muhammad Adnan Shan is working as Research Officer in Forensic DNA Typing Laboratory at Centre for Applied Molecular biology (CAMB), University of the Punjab, Lahore, since 2008. He has earned his M.Phil degree in molecular biology and has theoretical and hands on molecular biology techniques. He is a Forensic DNA Scientist by training and solved more than 500 forensic cases (i.e. parentage analysis, criminal investigation, dead body identification & bomb blast). He got foreign professional training in DNA Short Tandem Repeats (STR) Analysis from Strand Analytical Laboratories, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA in 2007. During the visit he also attended the 18th International Symposium on Human Identification held at Hollywood, California, USA. He has attended/participated in national and international trainings, workshops and symposia from different organizations within the Pakistan.
He has broad interest in population genetics and human evolution and has published seven research articles in peer reviewed journals of international repute with Impact Factor 18.56.
