Dr. Haleema Sadia

Dr. Haleema Sadia is working as Assistant Professor at Centre for Applied Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. After her Masters in Chemistry and M.Phil in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, she earned her PhD degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore (August 2015) in collaboration with Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Cambridge, UK. During her academic career, she had worked in different labs and universities of Pakistan and has a strong background of Chemical analysis, diagnostics, sequencing and gene expression. She has attended many national and international conferences /workshops/ training courses and presented her work in many of the international conferences by submitting abstracts and oral talks and won prizes in poster competitions.
Dr. Sadia has organized two training workshops (Real Time PCR, Cell Culture and Western Blot). She has more than 10 publications in peer reviewed impact factor journals and also has 13 abstracts published in international conferences. Dr. Sadia has taught many courses to M. Phil and PhD students, like Immunology, Biosafety, Advances in Nucleic Acid Sequencing, Advances in Real Time PCR, Crime Scene Management, Forensic Process. Dr. Sadia has been granted a start up research grant of 0.5 Million from Higher Education Commission, Pakistan and is working on breast cancer genetics. She is a HEC approved supervisor and 3 M.Phil students are working under her supervision in a newly established“ Cancer Genomics and Therapeutics Lab” at CAMB, UoP, Lahore. She is a regular member of Doctoral Program Coordination Committee at Department of Biomedical Sciences King Edward Medical University, Lahore and acted as external examiner of M.Phil.
