Dr. Aisha Nazir is serving Department of Botany as Assistant Professor. The paramount component of her research is that she directs her meticulous scientific investigations towards innovation. She is the winner of First Runner Up award of Global Cleantech Innovation Program (GCIP) 2016 at National Level in Pakistan, earning Prize Money of US$15000.00, conferred by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) 2017; and will avail Young Entrepreneurship Mentorship Services from Silicon Valley (Valley of Innovators) California USA in 2018 as a member of team VEGA’S. She is also winner of Technology Innovation Awards from Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) of University of Haripur, University of the Punjab, SATHA Innovation Award from University of Management and Technology. Her field of specialization is ‘Applied Phytotechnologies for Environmental Sanitation’. Dr. Aisha has developed customized constructed wetland technology for wastewater treatment in Pakistan as a member of Environmental Biotechnology research group. During her Doctorate Degree, she worked in Cornell University NY USA as a visiting scholar and carried out advanced collaborative research on heavy metal phytoextraction of soils polluted with tannery solid waste. She has earned merit scholarship throughout her academic career. Her current research is aimed at providing environmentally sustainable solutions for tannery wastes while procuring effective role of plants. Her philosophy of teaching is applying interactive learning strategies in the class to keep pupils fully engaged through a lecture session. She integrates latest research findings, preferably of last five years, in her lecturing material for graduate, post-graduate and doctoral classes. Thereby, she believes in an unending series of improvement in her career both as a researcher and an educator.
