Dr. Muhammad Saeed

Dr. Muhammad Saeed is currently working as Associate Professor and Chairman at the Department of Educational Research and Evaluation, Institute of Education and Research, University of the Punjab, Lahore. He did BSEd and MEd with Major in Secondary Science Curriculum in 1983 and 1989 respectively. Earned PhD on Greek fellowship from Aristotle University, Greece and Postdoc on HEC fellowship from University of Bradford, UK in Teacher Education in 1997 and 2007 respectively. Holds about 30 years experience in teaching, training and research. He has been associated with a number of professional organizations such as Directorate of Staff Development (DSD) Punjab, Provincial Education Assessment Centre (PEACE), University of Education, UNESCO, The World Bank, DFID, UNICEF, CIDA and USAID.
Dr. Saeed has conducted 18 training/research projects in the capacity of principal/co-principal investigator. He has published about over 55 research papers (including 10 Impact Factor), and many teacher training manuals and booklets to support national and provincial level policy makers and managers. He has supervised 10 PhD, 28 MPhil and 70 master level research theses. He has earned merit scholarship on securing second position in BSEd from University of Punjab (1983), Incentive Award on Research Publications (2010-11), Performance Evaluation Awards (2012-13) from University of Punjab, and Best Resource Person Award from FAME International sponsored by Cambridge Education (2014). He is at the Editorial Board of many national/ international research journals, and Editor-in-Chief of ‘Pakistan Journal of Educational Research & Evaluation’. His areas of interest include teacher education, educational assessment, and science curriculum.
