Hailey College of Commerce was established on March 04, 1927. The College continued its academic activities in this premises and was shifted on 23rd September, 1978 to Quaid-i-Azam Campus (New Campus), University of the Punjab. Unfortunately the old premises continued to stay unused.

Lt. Gen. (R) Arshad Mahmood, the then Vice-Chancellor of University of the Punjab, got the old premises renovated and rehabilitated to its original pride in the first quarter 2003. On March 26, 2003, Lt. Gen. (R) Khalid Maqbool, honourable Chancellor of the University of the Punjab and the Governor Punjab inaugurated the College which was renamed as Hailey College of Banking & Finance. Following the lead provided by the honourable Vice-Chancellor, the College Management developed the following degree programs for the benefit of fresh graduates and in-service executives.

1) Four Years B.B.A. Hons (Banking & Finance)
2) Two Years M.B.A. (Banking & Finance)
3) Executive M.B.A. (Banking & Finance)
4) Four Years B.B.A. Hons (Insurance & Risk Management)
5) Two Years M.B.A. (Insurance & Risk Management)
6) Executive M.B.A. (Insurance & Risk Management)
7) Certificate course on Agricultural Credit Analysis techniques wa offered and completed in on semester
8) The college now plans to start two semester Diploma Course in Agriculture Credit Analysis
9) In collaboration with NAVTECH, Islamabad, we will shortly be launching short-term technically-oriented programs.
10) Preparations are on for living up logistics for M.Phil programs in Banking & Finance and Insurance & Risk Management.

We are following market driven approach. Accordingly, the talent will be developed through innovative approach to meet the following tangible needs of the potential employers:
1) New experts will be produced for the world of finance, banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses, leasing set-ups, modarbas, mutual funds and related fields.
2) Financial experts will be developed.
3) New breed of exporters will be created.
Executives will be produced to serve the need of agriculture, industries and services sector. We are also planning to offer specialized courses in the area of Internal Auditing to meet the needs of as Internal Auditors. We have consulted the potential employers and on the basis of feedback received from them it is our great pleasure to offer an innovative package of course structure to prepare the students and in-service executives to meet the growing challenges of the 21st Century. Potential entrants to our programs are encouraged to join us. They will indeed enjoy their stay with us and will have, by Allah’s grace a highly rewarding experience.
