Third Virtual Training Session entitled "Managing Anxiety During COVID-19"


Dr Mujeeba Ashraf, Clinical Psychologist/Assistant Professor, Institute of Applied Psychology PU conducted a third virtual training session on Saturday 11 April 2020, on “Managing Anxiety During COVID-19” for volunteers of MENTAL HEALTH HELPLINE SERVICES initiated by the Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab. During workshop she stressed that it is quite natural to experience anxiety in this time of COVID-19 pandemic, as situation is ambiguous, novel and unpredictable. She also said that COVID-19 is not the only problem which people are facing now a days as there are various other difficulties existing simultaneously. For example, parents are worried about managing online classes for their children in the period of lockdown. Therefore, she suggested that clients should be treated according to their symptoms of anxiety through brief psychotherapy approaches.
