The Institute of Applied Psychology, University of Punjab, in collaboration with Heartland Psychological Services Canada, hosted an online lecture by renowned mental health expert Dr. Tony Toneatto on "Mindfulness in Clinical Practice." Dr. Arshad Mahmood, a leading mental health professional in the region, moderated the session. Dr. Tony Toneatto, a well-known figure in the field of psychology, has worked extensively in the area of mindfulness-based interventions in clinical practice. Dr. Tony Toneatto is a highly accomplished Registered Clinical Psychologist and practicing psychoanalyst in Ontario, Canada, with extensive experience in the field of mental health. He is also the founder of Buddhist Studies at the University of Toronto, where he has taught courses on mindfulness and meditation. During the session, he shared his insights and experiences on how mindfulness can address various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. Dr. Mahmood, who moderated the session, highlighted the importance of mindfulness in clinical practice and its potential for promoting mental health and well-being. He underscored the need for mental health professionals to be equipped with the latest knowledge and tools to provide the best possible care to their patients.

The session was attended by a large number of mental health professionals, researchers, and students from around the world.
