Delegation of Bangladeshi students visit PU
LAHORE: (Monday, June 11, 2012): A twenty member delegation of students of Bangladeshi Universities visited Punjab University here on Monday and called upon Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Liaqat Ali and senior faculty members at Center for Undergraduate Studies.

The delegation was led by Prof Dr Abul Khair of Botany department of Jahangirnagar University whereas students of Social Sciences department of different universities were also included in the delegation. Speaking on the occasion Prof Dr Liaqat Ali briefed the delegation about PU’s history and academic developments and said being a Muslim country we are still united. Prof Dr Abul Khair said that people of Pakistan are hospitable. He said that if an incident occurred in Pakistan its pain felt in Bangladesh. He stressed that these types of visits could bring both country closer. He thanked Govt of Pakistan, HEC and PU for facilitating the visit. Later, the delegation also visited different departments including Main Library, History, Political Science, ICS and Botany. |
