LAHORE: (Tuesday Sep 18, 2012): Punjab University’s Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) is organizing a workshop on “Platform for bridging Academia-Industry linkage” at Centre of Undergraduate Studies, Punjab University on September 20, 2012 at 11:00am in an effort to reduce the gap between university and industry. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran will chair this event. The main idea of the workshop is to identify the technological needs of our country and how academia can apply their knowledge and expertise to propose a workable solution that our industry can opt for and play its vital role in country’s development. The resource person of this workshop Mr. Siddiq-ur-Rehman CEO of Technology Exchange and Coordination (Pvt.) Ltd (TEC) under the umbrella of HEC is in the process of establishing a knowledge shop for bridging the gap between academia and industry. All Deans, Directors, Heads of various departments of Punjab University would be participating in this workshop.
