British journalist delivers lecture at ISCS

LAHORE: (Tuesday, April 30, 2013): PU Institute of Social and Cultural Studies’ Centre for Peace and Security Studies on Tuesday organized a lecture on Security Challenges of South Asian Region.

Mr Jason Burke, a British journalist and correspondent of South Asia for The Guardian and The Observer, was the keynote speaker while Dean Faculty of Behavioral and Social Studies Prof Dr Zakria Zakir, DIG Special Branch Mr Naveed Elahi, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

The British journalist detailed the challenges in terms of security being faced by South Asian countries. Later, a question answer session was held in which students participated enthusiastically. Later, the British journalist also called on PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran at his office.
