LAHORE: (Saturday, June 15, 2013): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Saturday presided over the 1699th meeting of Syndicate at Committee Room. Mr Justice Mazhar Ali Naqvi, representative of Chief Justice Lahore High Court, expressed his extreme anger on baseless story which published in an English newspaper. He expressed this is not only matter of VC but it challenges the credibility of PU and all the members of Syndicate as well. He said in the presence of Mujahid Kamran and all the members of Syndicate the affairs are being run transparently and according to law. He suggested strict legal action should be taken against the reporter who has been publishing such fake and baseless news items in the newspaper, which was agreed upon by all the members. The meeting approved Finance Planning Committee’s proceedings, services structures of librarians with little amendment and nominations of chairmen of some departments. The meeting also approved all the anticipatory orders of the Vice Chancellor. The meeting also severely condemned on terrorist attack at the residence of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Zyarat and they appealed to the Government terrorist should be punished.
