LAHORE: (Thursday, April 17, 2014): Punjab University has awarded 04 PhD degrees to the scholars in which Aisha Nazir D/o Nazir Hussain Shah in the subject of Botany after approval of her thesis entitled “Role of Autochthonous Fungi in Phytoextraction of Heavy Metals from Toxic Tannery Solid Waste”, Muhammad Naveed Shahid S/o Muhammad Mansha in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of his thesis entitled “Identification of Salt Stress Responsive Gene (s) in Desi Cotton (Gossypim Arboreum L.) by Differential Display”, Attia Razzaq D/o Abdul Razzaq in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of her thesis entitled “Identification of a New Locus for Mental Retardation in Pakistan Population” and Fazal ur Rehman S/o Anees ur Rehman in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of his thesis entitled “Preconditioning of Stem Cells as a Therapeutic Strategy for Osteoarthritis”.
