Lahore: (Monday, November 17, 2014): To introduce students to the importance of filmmaking and cinema, a seminar on “New Trends in Film Production” was held at the Hameed Nizami Hall of the Punjab University (PU) Institute of Communication Studies.
Renowned Actor, Producer and Director Salman Peerzada was the chief guest at the event. He delivered a special lecture on production techniques and filmmaking. While addressing the participants, he said that films were the strongest medium of communication in this era. Tracing the history of filmmaking in the Subcontinent, he said Lahore had always been the hub of filmmaking in the Subcontinent. All movies were initially released in Lahore, and if they were a success, they were released in the entire Subcontinent, he added.
