Punjab Governor to inaugurate Pakistan’s largest book fair


LAHORE: (Wednesday, April 1, 2015): Maintaining its previous marvelous traditions, Punjab University administration will organize Pakistan’s largest 3-day book fair this year from April 2 to 4, 2015. In this regard, inaugural ceremony will be held on Thursday (today) at 10am at main corridor of Institute of Education & Research (IER). On this occasion, Punjab Governor/Chancellor Punjab University Rana Muhammad Iqbal will be the chief guest. In a press statement, PU’s Chief Librarian Haseeb Ahmed Paracha said renowned publishers, booksellers and information technology organizations would establish their stalls and provide books and other products to teachers, students and general public on highly discounted rates. He said all resources would be utilized for the success of book fair so that book-reading habit could be promoted in the era of internet. He said PU had already set new records of largest sale of books during the fair.
