International Seminar Organized by the Department of Botany on "Improving crop plant productivity by adequate nutrient management"


An International Seminar on “Improving crop plant productivity by adequate nutrient management “organized by the Department of Botany was held in Al-Razi Hall at UGB on 4th December, 2018. All faculty members and students of the department were present on the occasion. The Resource Person was Prof. Dr. Tarlok Singh Sahota, Director, Agricultural Research Station, Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. The Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Firdaus-e-Bareen introduced the speaker to the audience. Dr. Sahota explained the role of nutrients in growth improvement of plants and techniques to ensure adequate nutrients availability in soil environment for improving plant health. After the seminar, a detailed question and answer session was conducted. The program ended with concluding remarks by Professor Emeritus, Dr. S.R.A. Shamsi.
