3rd Day of Sarir-e Khama Conference and Workshop at the College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab
The second chapter of ‘Sarir-e Khama; the Art of the Pen’, an international conference on calligraphy, along with an exhibition of Calligraphic Art, that started on the 8th of March, 2022 at the College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab, Lahore, at the prestigious and historic Senate Hall of the Varsity is now in its second phase. The session was started with the recitation of Holy Quran and National Anthem. Like the second day, two sessions were held on the third day, as well. College principal Prof. Dr. Sumera Jawwad participated in the conference as the professional expert. The first session was chaired by Dr. Rafia Tahir and the second session by Professor Dr. Sarmad Hussain. |

The speakers of the first session: Dr. Munnaza Rashid, Dr. Ghulam Abbas, Ms. Farah Khan, Dr. Samina Zaheer, Ms. Sahar Shah highlights the living traditions and methods of calligraphy as per their significant research. Further, the speakers of second session i.e. Kazim Kharasani from Iran, Ms. Mahsa Davachi, Dr. Surriya Chaudhary, Baitul Eser and Safeer Ahmed from Turkey presents their research analysis regarding the emerging trends regarding calligraphy and other arts associated with it. The courtier of Sareer-e Khama’s exhibition, Mr. Irfan Siddique participated in the second session as the expert calligrapher and intellectual. |

The respected speakers informed the audience with by presenting their wondrous research analyses regarding influence of modern technology and its relationship with the domain of calligraphy. These researches proved themselves as the great source of knowledge for the participants. |
The students of the College actively served this conference with their enthusiastic services in different capacities and benefited themselves with the insightful and intellectual gathering. |
The conference shall continue till 12 March, 2022 at the Senate Hall of the Punjab University. |
