Pakistan direly needs PR experts: DGPR Punjab
The country must counter negative propaganda: Raja Jahangir
LAHORE: (Wednesday, February 10, 2016): There is a dire need of public relation experts to dispel negative propaganda against Pakistan on international stage, said Punjab Director Public Relations Raja Jahangir Anwar while delivering a special lecture at Institute of Communication Studies, Punjab university on Wednesday.
The lecture on the topic “Public Relations in modern era: Opportunities and Challenges” was organized by PU ICS Public Relations Society. ICS In-charge Director Dr. Nosheena Saleem, faculty members and a huge number of students of ICS were present. Answering questions based on criticism of centralization of development policies of Punjab Government in Lahore, including Orange Line Train, Metro Bus and other developmental programs, the DGPR said it was imperative to work on development of five sectors simultaneously as per the modern development approach. He said, ‘Metro Projects have not only been launched in Lahore but Rawalpindi and Multan as well, and Orange Line Train would also be started in Sialkot and other cities. Raja Jahangir advised students to develop reading habits and to ameliorate their communication skills. In-charge Director Dr Nosheena Saleem presented a bouquet and thanked Raja Jahangir Anwar.
ICS Public Relations Society Coordinator Shabbir Sarwar and Members Adeel Akbar, Afnan Watto, Sunbal Malik, Ammar Khalid, Danial and others were also present.
