Students of undergraduate programs at Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS) organized an Annual dinner on Friday, 2nd December 2016 with the support of the institute. The program anchorpersons were students of BS program; Usama Akber and Neesa Butt. The event formally started with a beautiful recitation of Holy Quran by Muhammad Zaamin – BS student. Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen, Dean Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences and Director Institute of Administrative Sciences appreciated students’ initiative in her welcome speech. She emphasized on the fact that IAS not only impart the education in management field but also let the students exercise it in practical terms by encouraging them to conduct such events where all aspects of management are involved and room for creativity is provided. She shared her views that students at IAS are quite multitalented and that the institute also supports the idea to explore one’s hidden potential through various healthy activities.

In the program, a video of student’s activities on and off campus was shared in the form of a slideshow. A skit on the theme of anti-corruption: “Nadamat kay Aaansoo” was performed by a group of students from BS. Script of skit was written and directed by Arshia Raheel – student of BS Management. Other performances included; Qawali: “Yeh Zameen Jab na thi, Aasman Jab Na tha” by Haseeb-ul-Hassan (BS Management student), Bulleh Shah Kalam by Wardah Rana (BS Management student), songs by Roheen Sadiq & Anoop Hafeez and guitaring by Sajeel Ibrahim (BS Management students). Last performance of a mesmerizing qawali was presented by Muhammad Effendi, (MHRM student) and a professional sitarrist that has presented at national and international forums. The program was enjoyed & highly appreciated by faculty, staff and students. Towards the end, certificates were presented to all the performers and organizers of the event by Dr. Nasira Jabeen and Dr. A. R. Jafri. Student organizers presented a bouquet to Prof. Jabeen - director IAS, as a token of gratitude. Also, a bouquet was presented to Mr. Muhammad Zahid – BS Program coordinator for all the support, guidance and encouragement towards organizing of the event. Special thanks were given to the team of Career Advisory & External Linkages (CAEL) at IAS for immense support throughout the planning of the program. IAS believes in the significance of extra-curricular activities that alongwith academics shape and grooms one’s personality that further helps students in building a better career for themselves and giving back to society, simultaneously. Dinner was served to all the attendees and participants which provided a chance to students to further network with each other.
