PU VC urges students to give message of hope


LAHORE: (Monday, March 13, 2017): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir has urged the students to give message of hope to the country and the nation through positive activities. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of mini Olympics at Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) New Campus here on Monday. PUCIT Principal Prof Dr Mansoor Sarwar, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

The vice chancellor lauded college administration and students on successful and colorful arrangements of the wonderful event. In his address Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir said that the passion of the students was a clear proof of Pakistan’s bright future. He said that his policy was merit which was already implemented in PUCIT.

He said that under the leadership of Dr Mansoor Sarwar, the college students must show their creative skills to the world. He said that the best brains of IT were teaching students. He said that the new building of the college would start soon and asked the college administration to launch research journal.

Addressing the ceremony, PUCIT Principal Prof Dr Mansoor Sarwar said that the administration was paying attention to positive activities of the students. He said that with the approval of the Vice Chancellor, a technology park would be set up to groom innovative ideas of the students. He said that canteen, cricket ground, basket ball ground and other such facilities would also be built for students at New Campus building of the college. He said that job fairs were being organized regularly in order to provide career opportunities to the students.

He said that PU VC Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir was extending all-out support for promotion of academic and co-curricular activities. He also lauded college’s sports society headed by faculty member Syed Faisal Bukhari on successfully organizing the event.
