Youth urged to follow Iqbal’s message


LAHORE: (Wednesday, November 15, 2017): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir has urged the students to comprehend message of Poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal and develop “Khudi” amongst themselves to bring this country forward in development. He was addressing a colorful ceremony organized by PU College of Art and Design titled “Aik hon Muslim Haram ki Pasbani Ke Liye” here on Wednesday.

Principal PU CAD Prof Dr Shahida Manzoor, Israr Chishtee, Assistant Professor Ahmed Bilal, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said that Iqbal gave the idea of Pakistan and played important role for the country’s creation. He said that Iqbal had given precious through provoking messages in his poetry and we must apply them on our lives. He said that we also needed to promote tolerance and peace in our society. Commending the efforts of the faculty members and students for reviving thoughts of Iqbal through various forms of art, he said that such events must be organized to create awareness regarding Allama Iqbal’s ideology and services to the nation. In the ceremony, students presented three mimes “Khudi”, “Kafar-o-Momin” and “Baidaari” directed by Dr Ahmed Bilal, which enthralled the audience. Students of various departments also presented Kalam e Iqbal which attracted huge applause.
