ISTAQBAAL-E-RAMZAN at Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS)


The holy month of Ramzan brings a great tradition at Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS) to commemorate the spirit of brotherhood and exchanging gifts among colleagues. As per annual practice, this year too, IAS and its alumni joined hands to arrange for an Aftaar Party where Ramzan and Eid gifts were distributed among staff members of IAS and VC Office. Vice Chancellor Punjab University, Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen – Dean FEMS and Director IAS addressed the staff and acknowledged their services by sharing a gesture of gratitude. She thanked the IAS Alumni namely; Mr. Jamil Ahmad Khan – Sr. Vice President National Bank of Pakistan, Mr. Abid Sherwani – DG UMT and Mr. Adnan Sial – visiting faculty member at IAS, for joining hands with the institute and arranging gifts for all the employees. Prof. Jabeen mentioned her wish to arrange such gifts for entire Punjab University staff members in years to come. She then invited, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal Jadoon – Former Dean FEMS PU to share his views. Prof. Dr. Zafar highly appreciated the efforts of IAS administration, alumni and kindness of Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen upon arranging such events annually. Gifts and Eidi were then distributed among staff by Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal Jadoon, Prof. Dr. A.R. Jafri, Mr. Adnan Sial, Mr. Jamil Ahmad Khan and Mr. Abid Sherwani and Mr. Muhammad Zahid. IAS alumni (session 85-87) presented a souvenir to the Vice Chancellor – Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen and thanked for her usual support and cooperation. IAS Faculty members, Mr. Muhammad Zahid, Mr. Tayyeb Ali Khan, Mr. Rao Bakht Yawar, Mr. Farhan Shabbir, Mrs. Kausar Jafri and few other guests joined. The commendable efforts of administrative team, including Col. Muzaffar Ali, Mr. Shahzad Ahmad Siddique, Ms. Rifat Umbreen Afzal and Ms. Sameen Zaki, were greatly applauded. The evening ended up at Aftar cum dinner that was served among all staff and faculty members.
