Students urged to serve humanity


LAHORE: (Thursday, October 17, 2019): Punjab University Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar has urged the students to move forward in their relevant fields with the passion to serve humanity. He was addressing the graduation ceremony of Punjab University Hailey College of Commerce here on Thursday. Dean Faculty of Commerce Prof Dr Mubbsher Munawar Khan, HCC Principal Prof Dr Hasan Mobeen Alam, faculty members and a large number of graduating students participated in the event. Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar said that the students must work with honesty and take their decision in time in their professional life because delay in taking decisions affected the efficiency of the institutions. He said that they should work together with their colleagues. Prof Dr Mubbsher Munawar Khan said that Hailey College of Commerce was jewel of PU and it had produced legends. He said that HCC had played its role in producing good graduates with citizenship and developed critical thinking among them for their service to society. Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam said that HCC was producing quality graduates in commerce field since almost one hundred years who had bring the institution and the country to limelight. He urged the students to play their role with responsibility in resolving the problems being faced by the society and the country. He congratulated the graduates and their parents on their achievement. Earlier, degrees and medals were distributed among 600 students of M Phil Commerce, M Com Honors, M Com IT, B Com Honors and B Com IT.
