Islamic Dirham, Dinar could liberate from usury, Spanish scholar

LAHORE: (Thursday, July 12, 2012): Internationally recognized Spanish scholar Sheikh Umer Ibrahim Vidallo has said that we should introduce the system of Islamic Dirham and Dinar in order to get liberty from usury. He was addressing a seminar titled “Effects of usury on economy and economic situation of Muslim countries adopting interest system” organized by Punjab University Academic Staff Association at Al Razi Hall.

PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the ceremony. Mr Vidallo said that a group of richest families of the world introduced the system of usury in order to control the economy and states of the world. He said that the original model is Muamalat and the full implementation of Muamlat means the establishment of an Islamic trading Bloc, based on our model of Trade and our currency, the Islamic Dinar and Dirham. He said that an Islamic Trading Bloc was therefore not just Muslims trading with each other using the present capitalistic way of trade. He said that an Islamic trading Bloc would consist of every body, Muslims and Non-Muslims, trading in a way in which Islamic Law Defines trade, Islamic Trading. Regarding the validity of gold, he said that its greatest strength is the fact that it was and it had been the best international money in history.

He said that the people of America had become slave of Wall Street and they wanted freedom from it. He said that our banking system was not so strong and we needed to expunge it from usury for which planning was available. He said that imperialistic powers should understand that now the age of stupidity had ended and now we understood their conspiracies. He said that the people of Punjab could liberate the people of America and mankind from these groups of rich families. To achieve this goal, he said, knowledge was the only option through which we could defeat them. Citing the example of China, he said that we should adopt the system of gold and silver which would automatically devalue dollar.

He urged the government of Pakistan and Punjab to implement the system of Dirham and Dinar at national and provincial level. He also appealed Punjabis to support all those project which were promoting that system to wipe out usury. In his inaugural address, PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran said that all the problems being faced by the mankind were because of the present system of economy. He said that 9 million houses had been foreclosed in the US for not paying interest. He said that the cabal of families wanted to take control of all the reservoirs of the universe and he had been successful to some extent. He said that these banking families had imposed wars on mankind and now imposing 3rd World War. He urged the Muslims to follow the teachings of Quran as it’s over 700 Aya’hs focus on solving the mysteries of universe. He said that usury was forbidden both in Islam and Christianity but he was surprised that all the banking system was based on usury. He appreciated research work of Sheikh Umer Ibrahim Vidallo on usury system.
