Passion, hard work key become leaders: PU VC

LAHORE: (Thursday, January 19, 2017): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Zafar Mueen Nasir has said that hard work and passion were key to achieve goals through which students could become leaders in the future. He was addressing a welcome party for newly-admitted students of Hailey College of Commerce at its lawns here on Thursday.

On this occasion Principal HCC Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam, faculty members and a large number of students were preset. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir advised the students to develop personality, communication skills and gain knowledge of their field to get success. He said that PU administration would extend all-out support to the students in order to polish their capabilities. Addressing the ceremony, Principal Prof Dr Hasan Mobeen Alam said that Hailey College was the first institution of commerce in South Asia which was established in 1927. He said that the college had a splendid history and students must make efforts for addition in the college’s glory. He said that professional seminars, workshops and visits of organizations were arranged at the college to impart practical knowledge to the students. On the occasion, the students presented Kalam-e-Iqbal and performed co-curricular activities which received a huge applause from the audience.
