One day Seminar on Dengue 10 AM, September 02, 2012 - Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics
In context to the anti-dengue day, an awareness seminar was held in the lecture room of Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics this morning.

Dr Fouzia Qamar from Center of Advanced Molecular Biology gave a lecture on the “Dengue: An Issue or Challenge”. She explained the background, history, life cycle and diagnosis of the disease.

Prof. Dr Shahida Hasnain introduced the audience about the bio-control of the dengue mosquito through microbes in her lecture “Strategy to Combat Dengue: Microbiological Approach”. Dr Zaigham Abbass from the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics gave an overview about the “Current developments in vaccines against dengue virus infections”.

The seminar was attended by a large number of students and faculty members. |
