LAHORE: (Tuesday, July 6, 2021): Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab, in collaboration with Inter University Consortium for promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS), and MTRC (Media Training and Research Center) organized the 3-days Teacher’s Training under the Faculty Development Program. The training program focused around Countering Violent Extremism, Leadership & Critical Thinking for Nominated Faculty Members. On the first day of the first phase of the training program, Prof. Dr. Altaf Ullah Khan, Dean faculty of Humanities, FC College and focal person of the faculty development program and Director Institute of Applied Psychology, Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique shared the key objectives of the project which involves uplifting technical skills of the educators regarding creation of safer and tolerant atmosphere at the varisities.
Following a productive discussion session revolving around campuses, freedom of speech and the contemporary crises of the universities, Dr. Altaf Ullah Khan furthered the training and shared perspectives on mentoring and leadership.
More than 20 faculty members attended the first phase of the Teachers Training Program which will be continued till July 8th, 2021. In the upcoming week, second phase of the training program will be organized and the second batch of the faculty members will then take part in it.
