Workshop on “Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS” on 06th April 2013

Workshop on “Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS” on 06th April 2013

Office Of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC)
WORKSHOP FOR RESEARCHERS

ORIC - A PIONEER IN RESEARCH INNOVATION & COMMERCIALIZATION

The Office Of Research Innovation & Commercialization now proudly announces the workshop for professionals and Researchers:

Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS

Details for the said workshop are as follows:-

Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS

Workshop Objectives:
AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) is an add-on module for SPSS. It is designed primarily for structural equation modeling, path analysis, and covariance structure modeling, though it may be used to perform linear regression analysis and ANCOVA. It features an intuitive graphical interface that allows the analyst to specify models by drawing them. It can read data from a number of sources, including MS Excel spreadsheets and SPSS databases.
This workshop is designed as an introductory session for the use of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in research. The aim of this workshop is to provide students with an extensive understanding of structural equation Modeling, its underlying theory, and potential uses in research, as well as an awareness of its strengths. It is intended to provide students the handiness to adeptly design, evaluate, and construe simple research models across compound discipline areas using structural equation Modeling (SEM) techniques.

Contents:
Theoretical Understanding of Research, Types of Research & Variable(s), Types of Variables, Causality of Relationships, Types of Research Models, Regression Models, Path Models, Factor Models, Concept of Standardize Variable, Latent Variable, Exogenous & Endogenous Variable, scaling, and scale development, Reliability & Validity Issues, Data Structure, and Data Distribution. Outlier's diagnosis and treatment, Missing Values diagnosis, Hypothesis Testing, Types of Hypothesis, Working with AMOS Interface, Overview of Structural Equation Modeling, Overview of approaches towards Structure Equation Modeling, Major jargons,  Building Model, Understanding of specifications and identification, Understanding of under-identified Model and Over-Identified Model, Steps in Structural Equation Modeling, Understanding of Structural Coefficient, Review of Multiple Regression, Path Analysis, CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis). Incremental & Absolute Fit Indices (Model fit).

Who Should Attend:
This program is for students, scholars of MSc, MBA, MS/MPhil & Ph.D's; Deans, Faculty Members from different departments e.g., Management Sciences, Anthropology, Archaeology, Psychology, Sociology, Commerce, Economics, Linguistics, Communications Studies, International Relations, Criminology and other researchers who are pursuing their independent study/Research Project, Thesis/Dissertation and looking for Structural Equation Modeling techniques. So the aim of this workshop is to provide a unique opportunity to learn how to use AMOS for Structural Equation Modeling.
