Call for Papers

Submission procedure:

Submissions can be for oral presentations, poster presentations (Student Research) as well as for pre-conference workshops. The scientific committee will review the submissions and authors will be informed subsequently. You are invited to submit your abstract (not more than 250 words) on the following email address icapp2012.abstract@pu.edu.pk   

Please note that you are asked to submit only ONE proposal under one stream. You can submit only one paper for oral and poster each. The deadlines for submissions are:

Selected papers will be published in a Special Issue of Journal of Behavioral Sciences (JBS), official journal of Department of Applied Psychology, Recognized by the HEC, in X category of Journals and is abstracted and indexed in a wide range of databases.

As per requirement of the HEC, Conference proceedings will be published.

1. Guidelines for Abstract Submission:

  • Abstract should be limited to 250 words, describing:
    The problem of investigation (one sentence)
    Description of the study participants
    The essential feature of the study method
    The statistical techniques and main findings
    Conclusion and study implications
    Keywords: (italicized), list at least three keywords
    Abstract should be submitted along with the title of the paper, the author's names, and the institutional affiliation. Please indicate the presenting author by underlining it.

2. Guidelines for Submission of the Full Text Manuscript:

The manuscript should include: the Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion and References.

3. Guidelines for Submission of Oral Presentation

  • All presenters must register for the conference
  • Make a note of the lecture room (and time) where you will presenting 
  • All lecture rooms have PowerPoint facilities. If you have a PowerPoint presentation, please save it in Microsoft Office 2007/2010 format. Please bring your presentation at least an hour in advance to set up and have a back-up copy of your presentation on a USB flash drive  
  • It is recommended that you have handouts with your details and a summary of your presentation to give to interested delegates  
  • Oral presentations should be 7 minutes long, followed by 3 minutes for questions/discussion
  • The session moderator will use ‘1 minute left’ and ‘time up’ cards to help you keep to time 

 

4. Guidelines for Poster Submission

Structure:-

The poster has the same structure as a scientific article and should offer the following information:

  • Title 
  • Authors (with contact details [e-mail address] and the name of your institution) 
  • Abstract with keywords  
  • Introduction 
  • Objectives, Hypotheses  
  • Method: Sample, Measures, Procedure  
  • Results 
  • Tables and figures
  • Conclusion 
  • References


Format:-

Please ensure dimensions are in accordance to the following criteria:  

  • Poster size should be 56 inches x 42 inches, portrait format


  • Font type:
    • It is recommended to use Arial 
  • Font size:
    • The title should at least be 80 points, bold face
    • The section headers should be at least 32 points, bold face
    • The body of the poster (abstract, introduction, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion) should be between 18 and 26 points  
  • Be sure to clearly indicate your title, author names and affiliated institutions at the top of your presentation; It is also common to include your institution logo on the left corner of the poster


Please Note

  • All posters should be printed on flex
  • All posters should be printed before the Conference, since there will not be any poster printing facilities on site
  • We recommend that you have copies of a handout with your details and, if possible, an expanded version of your presentation to give to interested delegates
