LAHORE : (Wednesday, February 03, 2010): Punjab University has awarded PhD degree to four research scholars including Abdul Qayyum, Abdul Hannan, Fahim Arshad and Tahseen Mahmood.
Abdul Qayyum S/o Abdul Rashid has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Zoology after approval of his research thesis entitled “Glycemic Status and Associated Risk Factors High Attitude Population”. He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Department of Zoology Prof (r) Dr Abdul Majeed Cheema.
Abdul Hannan S/o Sabir Ali has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Mycology & Plant Pathology after approval of his research thesis entitled “Mutagenic Strain Development of Aspergillus Niger to Enhance Pectinases Production Potential”. He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Institute of Mycology & Plant Pathology Director Prof Dr Rukhsana Bajwa.
Fahim Arshad S/o Mehboob Arshad has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Botany after approval of his research thesis entitled “Palynological Characterization of Patala Formation, Western Salt Range, Pakistan”. He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Department of Botany Chairman Prof Dr Khan Rass Masood.
Tahseen Mahmood D/o Malik Mahmood Aslam has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Special Education after approval of her research thesis entitled
“Development of Art and Crafts Curriculum for Educable Mentally Retarded Children”. She completed her thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Department of Special Education Ex-Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Abdul Hameed.
