PUCIT Organizes Exit Interviews with Graduating Classes

LAHORE: (August 4): Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) organized the first ever "Exit Interviews" with the graduating class. The event was attended by over three hundred students in the packed Seminar Hall.

Principal, Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, chaired the session in the presence of degree supervisors and senior administrative staff. He had a two and a half hour interactive session with students, who gave their feedback about their 4-year experience in the college. "Exit interviews is perhaps the only mechanism for self-assessment in an environment where students, generally, hesitate to give their honest feedback about faculty and staff, because they fear victimization", said Dr Sarwar. "I have scanned through the written feedback from around 300 students and it is a goldmine of information about our institution's processes, faculty, staff, and infrastructure that would help us improve as an organization", he added.

The principal plans to make this activity an on-going feature of his administration and have similar sessions with PUCIT alumni and major employers of the college graduates in the months to come.

PUCIT also organized Graduation Night for the outgoing batches of the various degree programs attended by over 450 students, faculty members, and senior University administrators.Vice chancellor, Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, was the chief guest. Students presented comic skits, parodies, and "qawwali" about the various aspects of their college life. A sumptuous dinner capped the three hour long festivities.
