LAHORE: (August 4 ): Higher Education Commission has announced ‘Best University Teacher Award' for Punjab University Department of Mathematics' faculty member Prof Dr Muhammad Sharif. The award consists of certificate and cash prize of Rs 100,000.
PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has lauded the services of Dr Muhammad Sharif and congratulated him on this achievement. He said that Dr Sharif has also won Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his excellent contribution in the subject this year. He said Punjab University teachers and researchers are full of talent as this year Dr Riaz-ud-Din of PU Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) also won US$100,000 Islamic Development Bank's cash prize for outstanding contribution to the scientific knowledge and our two teachers, Dr Zubair Ahmad of CEMB, won Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and another teacher Shahida Parveen of PU Islamic Centre won Fatima Jinnah Award for their excellent contribution in their respective fields.
Dr Sharif did two post-doctorate from South Korea and he read 35 research papers in national and international conferences. |
