LAHORE : (August 7): Punjab University has declared the following candidates passed in the examination of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD):

•  Syed Anjum Tahira under the supervision of Dr Firdau-e-Bareen in the subject of Botany completed research on the topic “Phytoremediation of Tannery Effluents and Associated Contaminated Soil of Kasur District” .

•  Abid Ahmad under the supervision of Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz and Dr Tahseenullah Kahn in the subject of Geology completed research on the topic “Geochemistry of Granitic Rocks, Swat-Malakand Area, Pakistan ” .
