PU students selected as judges for Model UN conference of Germany


LAHORE : (Thursday, January 14, 2010): Four Punjab University students have been selected as judges by the Munster University Germany to participate in the annual Model United Nations Conference of the Munster University , which is scheduled to be held in April 2010. The students will not only serve as members of the Secretariat in Munster University Model United Nations Conference 2010 but also will adjudicate sessions in various committees in the Model UN simulation. The students include Syed Nishat Kazmi, Muhammad Bilal Ramzan and Ameer Hamza Dogar of Law College while Sher Afghan Malik of Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS).

It is permanent to mention that PU students won ‘Outstanding Delegation Awards' at its international student conference for the last two years 2008 and 2009 respectively and this is for the time that PU students have been selected as judges in this prestigious conference; the biggest to take place in Germany attracting students from more than 50 countries.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and PU Model United Nations Society Director Shazia Noreen Qureshi have congratulated the students on their extra-ordinary achievement and hoped that this collaboration between students of both universities will lead to further academic collaborations between the two universities.
