Punjab College got first, PU Teaching Dept second position
VC takes notice of uproar in ground, inquiry ordered

LAHORE : (Thursday, January 14, 2010): Final round competition of the Punjab University Inter-colligate Tug-of-war held on Thursday. According to results Punjab College of Commerce got first position, Punjab University Teaching Department got second position while Islamia College secured third position.

Punjab University Director Sports Anwar-ul-Haq (Baba Jee) has said that the decisions were taken by the match referee and PU Sports Committee Vice-President Painda Malik with complete honesty and upto the satisfaction of the all contestant. PU Spokesman has said that Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujhaid Kamran took the notice of the uproar and ordered an inquiry against the Assistant Director Sports Rana Liaqat. Inquiry will be initiated from Friday, he added.
