LAHORE : (Saturday, January 16, 2010): Vice-Chancellor Punjab University Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated the newly-elected President of PUJ Rai Hasnain Tahir, Secretary General Rana Azim and other office-bearers of the Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ).

In a congratulatory message, issued here today, the Vice-Chancellor stated that during the tenure of newly-elected PUJ, the relations between the Punjab University and the journalistic fraternity will become more pleasant and amicable. He said the print and electronic media can play a crucial role in educating the nation and imparting modern knowledge of science and technology to the students community. He expressed the hope that the newly-elected PUJ office-bearers would spare no efforts to promote healthy journalism in the country and effectively safeguard the rights of their journalistic brethren.
