LAHORE: (Sunday, January 24, 2010): Vice-Chancellor Punjab University Prof Dr Mujhaid Kamran has expressed his heart-felt condolences on the said demise of senior journalist, renowned columnist and educationist late Irshad Ahmad Haqqani.

In a condolence message issued here today to the bereaved family, the Vice-Chancellor said that he equally shared the grief of his family members. Paying glowing tributes to the late Irshad Ahmad Haqqani, the Vice-Chancellor said that he had rendered unforgettable services for the promotion of positive and constructive journalism in the country. He said the late Irshad Haqqani possessed a unique journalistic style and was known as a reputed analyst in the journalism world who always upheld the glorious principles of objective and authentic journalism. He had also performed meritorious services for promotion of education and literacy in his capacity as Government College Principal Kasur. Dr Mujahid Kamran prayed to the Almighty Allah that He may grant courage and fortitude to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss and may his soul rest in eternal bliss and peace.
