LAHORE : (Friday, January 29, 2010): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF)'s student Sehrish Asghar has won 5 gold medals in various competitions in the PU Women Athletic Championship. She clinched the medals in 400 meter race, 800 meter race, 1500 meter race, 4x100 meter relay race and 4x400 meter relay race, which is a unique distinction of HCBF's student in the Championship.

The distinction was due to the personal interest and encouragement of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and HCBF Principal Prof Dr Khawaja Amjad Saeed to promote extra-curricular activities in the university along with education. The promotion of these healthy activities in the varsity has brought good name and fame for the PU at national as well as international level. It is noteworthy that various departments of PU and teams from affiliated colleges participated in the Championship.
