LAHORE : (Saturday, January 30, 2010): Punjab University Institute of Education & Research (IER)'s faculty election 2010-11 held at the Institute the other day. According to the results, Dr Tariq Mahmood Chaudhry was elected Secretary and Prof Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry and Prof Ahmad Sher Awan as Members Faculty Council. Prof Dr Maher Saeed Akhtar, Dr Muhammad Saeed Shahid, Prof Ahmad Sher Awan and Prof Mubashrah were elected Members House Allotment Committee whereas Dr Rafaqat Ali Akbar and Prof Muhammad Shahzad Mughal were elected Chairman and Secretary Academic Affairs respectively. Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhry and Prof Tariq Hussain were elected as Chairman and Secretary Students Affairs Committee respectively while Dr Muhammad Saeed was elected Chairman Library Committee and Prof Farrukh Munir was elected as Secretary Faculty Lounge. IER Director Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhtar and Prof Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry supervised the election process.

The successful faculty members showed their commitment that they would play their role in the academic and research development of the IER and the University.
