Ph.D. Applied Psychology

The Ph.Dis a highly professional degree program based partly on taught courses and research thesis. The Ph.D syllabus comprises 18 credit hours taught course work and Research thesis.Students are provided with orientation of: the resources, facilities, rules and regulations, and code of conduct before the commencement of classes. It is mandatory for every student to attend orientation program and students are provided with copies of rules and regulations in the orientation program.

Prerequisites for Admission
The admission criteria is strictly in accordance to the rules set by the HEC, Pakistan and Doctoral Program Coordination Committee (DPCC), University of the Punjab. Application form must be complete in all respects particularly, with reference to detailed marks in the previous examinationequivalence certificate from the University of the Punjab (if required), Conversion of marks (if required) and migration certificate (if required). For admission in Ph.D, the basic required qualification is MS /M.Philin Applied Psychology / Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Behavioural Sciences from HEC recognized University in Pakistan or MSc in above stated subjects from a foreign University. Candidate must have passed GRE subject to apply for admission in Ph.D program. Applicant is required to submit a research proposal at the time of admission and guideline for proposal preparation are given in the prospectus (see page 47) and will also be provided along with admission form. Interview will be based on research synopsis. Merit is calculated on the basis ofacademic qualification, interview, professional experience and research publications. The admitted candidates will undertake 18 credit hour course work and will qualify comprehensive exam before undertaking their research project.
