GIS Centre is offering Short Training Courses for Academia, Students and Professionals.
The course covers the core concepts of remote sensing & GIS by focusing on the following:
· Understand the basics of GIS and physical basis of remote sensing
· Understand the characteristics and the working mechanism of various sensor systems
· Understand and learn spatial data creation and editing and understand the visual
interpretation of color composite satellite images.
· Describe and understand the fundamentals of GIS
· Analyzing Spatial data and Geo-processing
· Editing and Creation of Spatial Data
· Understand the key features of digital image processing for extracting useful land use/cover information from the remotely sensed satellite images.
· Learn and apply the theoretical concepts by working on a real life problem areas such as land use/cover mapping, natural resource management, land clearing or deforestation, salinity, water logging or agricultural resource monitoring etc.
