LAHORE: (Wednesday, September 17, 2025): A Punjab University spokesman has said that the real demand behind the rally of the gangster organization Jamiat at PU is the reinstatement of dismissed workers. According to a PU spokesperson, the dismissed workers of Jamiat were involved in various crimes. He said that the claims of the expelled students have been dismissed from the court. He said that the incumbent administration has stopped the extortion of Jamiat and now Jamiat neither gets free food from the canteen nor their clothes are washed for free. He said that Jamiat can no longer rent out rooms in the hostels. He said that Jamiat is actually suffering from the closure of its illegal business. He said that there were also irrelevant suspicious people in the Jamiat rally. He termed all the demands of the gangster elements as baseless. He said that behind Jamiat are those elements that are not able to tolerate the administrative and financial improvement of the university.
