External linkages and collaborations between academia, industry, stakeholders,R&D institutions, governmental organizations, NGOs, national & international organizations and countries are important for the development of research and training capacity of an institution. These linkages and partnerships not only help in the faculty and infrastructure development but also improve the quality of higher education through mobilization of financial, technical, human and social resources. External linkages improve the public understanding and image of a university institution and help in promotion of international peace & understanding through exchange visits, joint ventures and research collaborations.
