Established in 1933, the Department of Political Science is one of the oldest teaching faculties of the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

It offers M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees in Political Science as well as M.A. in Diplomacy and Strategic Studies and M.A. International Relations. The Department has a well-established evening Diploma Program in International Affairs (DIA).
