Library timings

Monday – Friday                                   08:00am To 05:30pm

Juma break                                            12:30pm To 02:00pm

  General rules

  1. Complete silent should be observed in the Library.
  2. Eating, drinking, smoking and gossiping are prohibited in the Library.
  3. Library is only for study purposes. Activities like meetings, discussions and other extra-curricular activities are not allowed in the library.
  4. Any library material is not allowed to take out from the library without prior permission from the authorities.
  5. Rights of physical searching are reserved to the library staff.
  6. Library staff has the right to expel or impose fine on violation of library rules.
  7. Writing on library furniture, walls and other material like books, magazines etc. is strictly prohibited.
  8. Current market price (along with shipping and handling in case of material have to purchase from abroad) + late fine + Rupees 100/- processing charges will be charged on damage or loss of any library material.
    • If material is out of print or not available in the market, 3 times latest market price will be charged.
    • If the damaged or lost material is a part of any serial and single issue is not available in the market price of complete series will be charged.
    • If the price of damaged or lost material is un-traceable Librarian’s decision will be final.
  9. In case of any wrangle over the final decision making authority will be the Library Committee.

Circulation rules 

  1. Reference books, textbooks, magazines/ journals and newspapers are reference materials and will not be issued to any user in any case.
  2. Reference books, textbooks, back issues of magazines/ journals and newspapers may be issued for photocopy purpose only. Borrower is responsible to return these things with in one hour. Fine Rupees 50/ Day/ Item will be charged on failure in returning the material with in due time.
  3. Permanent Faculty members have the right to borrow 10 books for 15 days and may be renewed for the term of other 15 days, if the book is not in demand by any other faculty member. Faculty member must have to show that book physically for renewal.
  4. Students have the right to borrow three books for 3 days and the same book will not issued to the same ID before overnight.
  5. If borrower fails to return the book(s) in due time fine @ Rupees 5/ day/ item will be charged.
