Illustrators are story tellers. They clarify; bring light and a point of view to whatever subject they develop. With their imagery they arouse curiosity, stimulate interest and expand the content. It is their responsibility to understand the human psychology and to challenge it. Illustration is an emotional response, combined with a strong technical background.
It is common knowledge that children learn by doing and by looking at books and resource material that has a strong pictorial content. In Pakistan, the level and quality of illustration in children's books has been very poor.
We have the honour to start a truly professional course in Illustration for the first time in the country, to fulfill this need. But the careers of our graduate illustrators are not confined to just children's books. They illustrate magazines, books, newspapers, cards, album covers, and work as animators for videos and computer advertising. With their strong design background they are able to understand and respond to the needs of the market in a professional way.
