Dr. Nighat Jamal is working as Asstt. Prof in Centre for Undergraduate Studies. She is teaching French and she has also been assigened various responsibilities. She is an experienced person, having keen interest in urdu & French literature& language. She is Ph. D in Urdu. She has two books and three research articles, published in local journals on her credit. She possess over twenty years teaching experience. She joined the university as Lecturer in French in 2008 Prior to which she was Urdu teacher in Divisional Public School & College where she received several Best teacher awards. She had been teaching French as visiting faculty member in various departments. She has taught various modules at post graduate level i.e. Traduction et Interpretation , Memoire et Soutenance, Panorama de la literature francaise, Français des Affaires etc for about 16 years. As visiting Faculty She has also taught French at beginner’s level in Department of French, Department of Philosophy, Institute of Biochemistry & Biotechnology, and Institute of Administrative Sciences, University of the Punjab, University of Central Punjab and Pakistan College of Business & Administrative Sciences. She is Working as Tutor French on Line since 2004 in Allama Iqbal Open University and Tutor, Urdu since 2013.
Her Ph.D research consists research & comparative study of French literature, translated in Urdu . She has also supervised more than 20 research thesis of M-A French (2005-2013).
She has worked as examiner for BISE Lahore, BISE Islamabad and University of the Punjab for Intermediate, B-A and M-A examinations. She has 3 research articles, published in local journals. She has attended many teachers’ training workshops organized by Embassy of France in Lahore & Islamabad and one month training in France.
She has also worked as Acting Incharge of the Department of French and conducted various activities.
