Instructions for Author

Manuscripts, articles and book reviews on themes of contemporary or historical interest from all over the world with respect to Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, along with reference to South Asia, are welcomed.

Softcopy of the plagiarism report should also be attached at the time of submission.
- Softcopy of article/manuscript should be e-mailed to the Editor as attached file only as Microsoft Word document not exceeding the limit of 6000 words.

Authors should submit abstract of their articles, not exceeding 500 words. The first page of the paper should include the title of the paper as the name and institutional affiliation of the author, placed above the title of the article.

The softcopy of the article / manuscript and the contents should be on paper size (width 6.38” x height 9.38”) single spaced with font size of 10 having margins of 0.63” at Top & Bottom and 0.88” at both Left & right. All pages should be numbered consecutively.

Turabian / APA style should be followed for references, footnotes, Bibliography, tables, maps and images etc. and two printed copies should be submitted. Not more than quantity of four (4) Tables or maps or images should be inserted therein.

Utmost care should be taken to prepare statistical data and maps for publication, which will be the only responsibility of the Author/s. All headings, columns, rows, symbols, units of measurement, periods, political and geographical areas, and sources should be clearly stated and must not exceed from the margins defined above; otherwise similar contents will be deleted without consent.

The names of two foreign and two national reviewers of relevant field may also be sent along with the article.

The Editor reserves the right to select or reject any article for publication in the Journal of the Punjab University Historical Society without any reason.

Any article avoiding any of the above the instructions will not be considered for published.
